Whats-app will soon play YouTube videos inside conversations

version 2.17.40 update for WhatsApp.

How many times did you receive a YouTube link on WhatsApp and you were annoyed that WhatsApp opened YouTube to view it? That will not happen once more , A new WhatsApp feature will now allow WhatsApp users to stream videos on YouTube from right within the app, as opposed to launching the YouTube app every time a YouTube video link is clicked. The upcoming update will enable WhatsApp to open a YouTube video in a picture-in-picture mode within the WhatsApp chats. This is aimed to be even more seamless than the split-screen function that currently works in many smartphones. In addition to this, WhatsApp has various other features lined up in the update.
  • This functionality isn’t exactly ideal, as it prevents you from simultaneously watching the video and seeing your messages, instead forcing you to flick between the two apps.
  • It is also expected that the update will let users drag the video window around as well as resize it or view them in full screen. The window will collapse once the user opts out of the chat window.
  • WABetaInfo says the feature may only be compatible with the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S+, iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, due to their screen sizes.
It is believed that a limited number of iPhone users may currently be beta-testing the function, although this has not been confirmed by Apple.
  • The news arrives via WABetaInfo, which claims that WhatsApp is currently testing the feature with a small number of users on iOS devices. We can’t verify this info at this point, but if it’s true, we expect that it would make its way to Android also.
  • WABetaInfo has said it will continue to monitor updates for these operating systems and post the results as and when it finds them.

  • A new WhatsApp update will make changing fonts much easier with a floating toolbar.
  • Users will be able to select the text to change and then add the effect which will be automatically applied.
  • Last year the Facebook-owned app allowed users to add certain characters before and after the words or sentences to make them go bold, italic or with a line through the center, known as a strike through.
  • WhatsApp has added a Night Mode for the camera within the iOS app, so it's expected that this feature will arrive on its Android counterpart soon. To help users shoot better photos in the dark, the option to turn on Night Mode appears when a low light environment is detected.
  • Users will soon be able to send any file type (like PSD or APK files).
  • According to WABetaInfo, they include in-line YouTube video playback with Picture-in-Picture support and an emoji search function.
